Tasword Two for the ZX Spectrum is probably the most famed word processor for that platform and this is the ‘conversion’ for the Coupé.

As can bee seen the screen uses a pseudo-64 column mode with a cut down character set in MODE 1, similar to WordMaster in the PGC DTP Pack.

even taspell with only 140kb disc image has 70,000 word spell checker
help
converted with tascon from format indug to +d

zx spectrum 128K Tasword

in order to convert a zx Spectrum 128K tasword you would need to:
1. convert the ping when the cursor reaches the end of a line from ay8912 to saa1099 - there are instructions for this
2. ram paging - needs converted
3. tascon +D converted the 128k version to use the Disciple and +D disc interfaces so some fairly minimal alterations to this code should suffice
4. taspell/spell master - wouldn’t it be great to have a full dictionary using the atom lite records
