Blitz magazine was a replacement for SAM Prime (from Phoenix Software Systems) and was launched when the rights to the Phoenix titles had been obtained by Malcolm Mackenzie.
It was originally edited by Steven Pick, although from issue 2 onwards, it was edited by David Ledbury.
SAM Prime
Submitted by Dan Dooré on Tue, 2006-05-30 00:10. MagazineSAM Prime was launched by David Ledbury after the demise of the SAM Newsdisk which David edited with Alan Miles.
It was intended to be in a similar vein to the Newsdisk, and managed to gain content from several Newsdisk authors - including Adrian Parker and Dr Andy Wright. One of the intentions was to work with Bruce Gordon who’s company SAMTek was still trading, to keep support going. This sadly did not happen.
SAM Prime was a disk based magazine for the first 5 issues, although the last 2 issues appeared on Paper.
